Architects'Journeys is a series of monographic guides focusing on the work of architects who left their mark on the urban landscape of Brussels after the First World War. The collection focuses on the work of architects who are less known to the general public but who deserve all the more recognition because of their intimate connection with the city. Each volume highlights a unique journey, both literal and figurative, revealing not only the built heritage but also the underexposed and little-studied facets of the capital's urban history.

This volume of the series is devoted to architect Josse Franssen (1906–1990) and his achievements in the Brussels region. It brings to light the oeuvre and remarkable career of this architect, a man who was a staunch adherent of the principles and vision of Belgian modern architecture. His buildings and homes are distinguished by a clear and rational spatial layout, and his architectural language, which is both elegant and functional, subtly meets the requirements of each program. In numerous projects, he collaborated with contemporary sculptors and integrated their works into the facades and interior design of vestibules.

Already published in the same series: Stanislas Jasinski (no. 1) & Antoine Pompe (no. 2)
